The National Assembly is giving a report on the strategies that consider mobile manufacturing and export procedures in Pakistan.
The National Assembly gave a report on Friday which stated that the new policy was in progress which might improve the export of the country’s cellular devices. The “Mobile Device Manufacturing and Export” policy is to hyoe the export possibilities for the locally assembled devices.
“93% Of Mobile Phones Assembled Here”, the Parliament briefed on Friday.
MQM’s Aminul Haq inquired about the number of mobile handsets being assembled locally now. Parliamentary Secretary for Industries and Production Shahid Usman replied that 93% of mobile handsets in Pakistan are now locally assembled.
This is due to the country being built and its manufacturing capabilities. The reason being the major international brands starting to use the locally assembled devices to boost the sector.
New Wagons and Projects to Strengthen Pakistan Railways
In between the same session, Parliamentary Secretary for Railways Muhammad Usman Awaisi revealed that Pakistan Railways is bringing to notice 820 new high-capacity wagons for increasing freight-hauling capacity.
He further added that the Thar-Coal connectivity project, which will be greatly beneficial in the rail freight operations, is underway. He also added that the Reko Diq Mining Company, with which Pakistan Railways is partnering, would be able to make railway cargo earnings jump to new prospectives, pinching in with more growth opportunities in the industry.
