A student studying in a government school achieved the first position after about 28 years in the Karachi matriculation system. The last time this great incident took place was back in 1996.

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) recently announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate SSC Part II (Matric)—Science group (Regular) for this year ( 2024).

After 28 years, finally, a light shone on the system, the source of light being a government student who had secured the top position in the exams.

The name of the star is Hafiz Abdul Rafi, a student from The Delhi Government Boys Secondary School Karimabad, who made this remarkable performance with a whopping 94.55 %.

Romaisa Imran coming from the Shamsi Society Private School and Rukhsar Abdullah from North Nazimabad Private School were the runner ups for the 2nd and 3rd position one after the other.

Romaisa was the scorer of 94.27 % meanwhile Rukhsar achieved 93.18%, according to an announcement made by the board through their website.

These accomplishments  are hugely of great importance because the last rime this happened was in 1996, when Imtiaz from the same school had claimed the same position.

According to the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, 163,012 candidates registered for the exams, 162,026 appeared, and 131,614 cleared the papers. The overall success rate for this year stood at 81.23%.
