Gold rates in Pakistan have hit a new record high on Saturday due to a significant increase in global rates.

According to the latest data from the Sarafa Association shows that the price of gold per tola has risen by Rs400, bringing it to Rs266,300 while the cost for 10 grams has also gone up by Rs343 and now stands at Rs228,309.

Looking at the international market, gold is currently priced at $2,577 per ounce with an additional $20 premium. This indicates an $11 increase for the day and reflects ongoing trends in the global market that are impacting local prices.

In contrast, silver prices have remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola. The new peak in gold rates surpasses the previous record of Rs265,900 per tola, highlighting the unpredictable nature of gold markets and its growing importance as a valuable asset during times of economic uncertainty.
