Islamabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions on Lehtrar Road near Khanna Pul starting October 31, 2026, due to ongoing construction work.
The diversions will remain in effect until further notice. Commuters have been advised to take alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion and delays.
According to the traffic plan, motorists travelling from Tramri Chowk, Lehtrar Road and Alipur should use Faizabad, Rawal Dam Chowk and Park Road as alternative routes.
Meanwhile, those travelling from Khanna Pul towards the Express Highway have been directed to use Ghauri Town and Link Road.

The traffic police have also advised citizens to leave for their destinations 20 to 25 minutes earlier than usual to avoid delays caused by the diversions.
Traffic officers will remain deployed in the affected areas to guide commuters and ensure smooth traffic flow during the construction work.
The department will also share further traffic updates and guide citizens through ITP FM 92.4.
Islamabad Traffic Police has urged motorists to follow the diversion plan and cooperate with traffic officials to help maintain smooth traffic movement in the affected areas.
