Pakistan’s gold market experienced its second major decline in a row on Tuesday, following global trends in gold trading, as per the report.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said that the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell sharply by Rs10,700, bringing the new rate to Rs459,462. The cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs9,174 to Rs393,914, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs8,410 to Rs361,100.
The fall in prices was also reflected in the international market, where gold dropped by $107 to $4,371 per ounce.
Silver prices followed a similar pattern. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs145 to Rs7,930, while 10 grams of silver fell by Rs125 to Rs6,798.
