KP govt introduces new timings for public schools

The provincial government has announced a new timetable for public schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stressing that it must be followed strictly. As per the official notification, primary classes will begin at 7:30 am and continue until 1:35 pm. The schedule also includes assembly activities focused on moral training, speeches, and practical learning.

Schools have been directed to arrange moral education sessions through speeches on three days each week and student sketches on the remaining three days. In addition, head teachers are required to organize weekly literary gatherings, known as Bazm-e-Adab, on the last working day. Following these sessions, the final three periods of the day will be set aside for staff meetings and completing official records.

If there is a shortage of teachers or if staff members are on extended leave, school heads and subject specialists will take responsibility for conducting classes. District education officers have been instructed to make sure the new timetable is properly implemented in all schools across the province.
