SBP announces bank holiday on July 1 across Pakistan

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on July 1, during which banks and other financial institutions across the country will not provide services to the public.

According to the SBP notification, all banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks will remain closed for customer transactions on Wednesday, July 1. As a result, public dealings and banking services will stay suspended for the day.

Despite the holiday, bank staff will report to work and carry out their regular official responsibilities. Banking operations for customers will return to normal after the holiday.
