Faisalabad opens first public library at Bagh-e-Jinnah

Residents of Faisalabad have something new to look forward to as the city has opened its first public library at Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Built in just 35 days through a partnership between the public and private sectors, the facility features more than 1,500 books for visitors to read and enjoy.

In line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision, similar “book corners” will soon be set up in other parks across the city to encourage reading among young people.

Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir visited the site and reviewed different sections of the library. During his visit, he shared plans to expand such facilities to other parks, adding that the D-Ground Park e-library will offer not only reading material but also a peaceful space for study and research.
