Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Disaster Management Authority has warned of widespread rain and snowfall across several regions, expected to continue from February 1 to 3, as per the report.
The Meteorological Department said a westerly wind will enter the country on the night of January 30. Light to moderate snowfall is forecast in the mountainous areas of Azad Kashmir during February 1 to 3.
Roads in these high-altitude regions are likely to be closed due to snow, and there is a risk of slippage. Landslides may also occur in upper areas.
Tourists and travelers have been advised to exercise caution while traveling to mountainous regions. The district administration, Rescue 1122, and relevant departments have been instructed to remain on high alert.
