The parking fee at Islamabad International Airport has been increased. As per the revised rates, charges for the first three hours have gone up from Rs90 to Rs120, while the hourly fee beyond that has been raised from Rs50 to Rs70.
The sudden hike has led to repeated arguments between passengers, their families, and parking contractors. Many travelers complain that the higher rates are adding to their difficulties, particularly for those who only come to pick up or drop off relatives.
Efforts are being made to get an official comment from Pakistan Airports Authority spokesperson Saifullah Khan on the matter.
