PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said on Sunday that heavy rainfall and flash floods since July 24 have claimed six lives and left six others injured in different incidents across the province.
According to the PDMA, “The death toll included three men and three children.”
The authority said the overall death toll from monsoon rains between July 19 and July 26 has risen to 32, while 35 people have been injured. “The injured included 16 men, 12 women and seven children”.
A PDMA factsheet stated that those injured in incidents reported since July 24 included three men and three women.

The recent spell of rain and flash floods also caused damage to 26 houses. Of these, 19 were partially damaged, while seven were destroyed.
Since the start of the monsoon season, a total of 55 houses have suffered partial damage, while 17 have been completely destroyed, according to the PDMA.
The authority also reported that 46 livestock animals were killed in separate incidents.
PDMA said rescue and relief teams are continuing operations in 25 districts affected by the heavy rains and flash floods.
Earlier, the PDMA reported that Peshawar, Nowshera, Khyber, Mardan, Buner, Bajaur, Shangla, Swabi, Chitral, Lower Dir and Upper Dir were among the districts affected by weather-related incidents.
