Cyber Crime Agency arrests child pornographer in Peshawar

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has arrested a man accused of spreading pornographic content involving children in Peshawar, as reported on Wednesday.

According to details, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided reliable information about an individual involved in uploading and sharing sexually abusive material related to minors on social media platforms.

Acting on this information, an NCCIA team carried out a raid and arrested the suspect, identified as Mohammad Waqas.

During the investigation, objectionable content linked to harassment and exploitation was recovered from his mobile phone, while forensic examination also revealed serious evidence.

The accused is a resident of Mansehra. During the raid, authorities seized a mobile phone, multiple SIM cards, and other digital records from his possession.

A case has been registered against the suspect under Section 22 of the PECA Act 2016, and further investigation is currently in progress.
