Gold and silver prices surge after recent drop

Gold prices in Pakistan bounced back sharply on Tuesday after a steep decline in global markets the day before.

The price of one tola went up by Rs16,300 to reach Rs464,062, while 10 grams gained Rs13,975, settling at Rs397,858, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Monday, gold had dropped to Rs447,762 per tola after a fall of Rs43,500 during the trading session.

Internationally, gold also rose, climbing $163 to reach $4,413 per ounce, with an additional $20 premium.

Silver followed a similar trend, recovering Rs570 to close at Rs7,454 per tola.
