A disturbing video surfaced following the incident, showing scared madrassa students and scenes of violence, suggesting that this may not have been an isolated case.
People from the area are now urging the government and police to put proper monitoring systems in place at religious seminaries to stop such tragedies from happening again. They also called for the immediate arrest and punishment of those involved.
Police have arrested two of the teachers from a hospital and registered a case against three individuals: Muhammad Omar, his son Ehsanullah, and a third suspect, Abdullah. Authorities confirmed Abdullah is in custody while the search continues for the remaining two.
