During the recent Eid holidays, Punjab Police launched a wide-ranging crackdown on criminal gangs across the province. These operations led to the arrest of 2,560 suspects connected to 1,061 gangs.
According to a police spokesperson, stolen items worth more than ₨558.5 million were recovered, including ₨543 million in cash.
The police also seized 74 vehicles and 1,273 motorcycles from those involved, reflecting the scale of the campaign and the department’s efforts to maintain order during the festive period.

Officials said the purpose of these actions was to curb crime, improve public safety, and allow people to celebrate Eid in a peaceful environment.
