The Punjab government has imposed a ban on students using mobile phones in all public and private schools, according to a report on Thursday.
Following this decision, the School Education Department has instructed the heads of all educational bodies to enforce the restriction without delay.
The official letter stated that the ban must be put into effect right away. It also urged schools to motivate students to take part in co-curricular and personality-building activities, saying, “Encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities and ensure students’ participation in personality development activities.”
This directive was issued after the Punjab Assembly approved a related resolution.
