The Revenue Protection and Enforcement Cell of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has started a major crackdown against water theft in different parts of the city.
In this effort, a joint operation was conducted in the Sohrab Goth area along the Super Highway with the assistance of the Sindh Rangers. The action focused on illegal connections taken from a 16-inch water supply line.
Officials from KWSC said the aim was to remove unauthorized connections that were disrupting the proper distribution of water. During the operation, all such connections were disconnected.
They added that after removing the illegal links, the pipelines were sealed with wooden plugs to stop any further theft attempts.
