Gold prices jump again in Pakistan after global market spike

Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday following a surge in the global market.

In the local market, the per tola price increased by Rs7,900, reaching Rs431,562, while the rate for 10 grams went up by Rs6,773 to Rs369,994, according to figures shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

A day earlier, gold per tola had slipped to Rs423,662 after a drop of Rs7,000.

In the international market, gold also gained strength, rising by $79 to $4,092 per ounce, including a $20 premium, as per APGJSA.

Silver prices followed the upward trend as well, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs177 to reach Rs5,422.
