Rice prices have gone up beyond what many ordinary consumers can afford, adding further pressure to already tight household budgets.
Super Kernel rice has risen by Rs10 and is now selling at Rs430 per kilogram. Kainat Basmati is available in the market at around Rs520 per kilogram. Packaged rice varieties are being sold at prices ranging from Rs580 to Rs640 per kilogram.
Broken rice is currently priced between Rs250 and Rs280 per kilogram, depending on quality and location.

The ongoing increase in prices of basic food items has deepened concerns among consumers who are already facing the impact of rising inflation.
