The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced 498 vacancies in different Punjab government departments under Advertisement No. 08/2026.
The latest recruitment drive includes positions in government departments, educational boards, the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, Punjab Food Authority, Agriculture Department, Transport Department, Livestock Department and other organisations.
The advertisement was issued on August 18, 2026. Interested candidates can apply online until September 3, 2026.
Major Vacancies
The Agriculture Department’s Water Management Wing has announced 92 posts for Water Management Officer (BS-17). Candidates must hold a B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture after completing a four-year post-intermediate programme. The vacancies include seats for open merit, women, minorities and special persons.

The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority is hiring 82 Transport Sub Inspectors (BS-14). Applicants must have a second-division BA degree from a recognised university.
There are also 34 vacancies for Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector (BS-16), which are open to candidates with a law degree. These positions are available across Punjab.
The Livestock and Dairy Development Department has announced 27 Veterinary Officer (BS-17) positions. Applicants must have a DVM degree and valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
Vacancies in Punjab Education Boards
Several positions have also been announced in Punjab’s Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
BISE Lahore is hiring 24 Assistants (BS-16), along with Junior Computer Programmer, Senior Computer Operator, Security Officer, Estate Officer, Civil Engineer and Deputy Secretary/Deputy Controller of Examinations.
BISE Dera Ghazi Khan has five Assistant (BS-16) vacancies, while BISE Faisalabad has openings for Computer Programmer, Junior Computer Programmer, Deputy Secretary/Deputy Controller and Assistant Secretary/Assistant Controller.
The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) has announced several contract-based positions.
The recruitment includes 22 Assistant Director Inspection (General) posts with a monthly package of Rs115,000. Candidates are required to have a Master’s or BS Hons degree with 16 years of education.
CMIT is also hiring 24 Office Assistants with a monthly package of Rs77,000.
Other available positions include Assistant Director Inspection for Technical, Medical and Financial Matters, as well as Law Officer posts. The Assistant Director and Law Officer positions offer a monthly package of Rs115,000.
More Transport Department Vacancies
The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has also advertised 25 Senior Transport Officer posts, three Deputy Director positions and five Secretary District Regional Transport Authority vacancies.
Applicants must meet the qualification and experience requirements specified for each position.
