KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Monday, tracking the upward movement in international markets.
As per the Sarafa Association, the price of gold rose by Rs1,500 per tola, settling at Rs357,700, while the 10-gram rate climbed by Rs1,286 to Rs306,670. Globally, gold gained $15, pushing its price to $3,350 per ounce.
At the same time, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened strong, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index surging 1,291.02 points, a 0.88% jump, reaching 147,782.65 points from the previous close of 146,491.63.
Analysts say the rally reflects renewed investor interest across major sectors, supported by expectations of economic stability and positive market signals. Observers, however, remain cautious to see if the bullish run continues as earnings reports and economic updates unfold.
