The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that Karachi will continue to face hot and dry weather for the next three days, delaying the onset of winter in the city.
According to the PMD’s Early Warning Centre, weak or inactive sea breezes will persist, leading to higher daytime temperatures.
Northwesterly winds from Balochistan in the morning and westerly winds in the evening are likely to push temperatures above 37°C during this period.
Officials said Karachi is currently in a seasonal transition phase, after which cooler winds signaling winter will begin to take hold.
They added that temperatures are expected to gradually decline by early to mid-November, marking the arrival of the winter season.
Meteorologists noted that October is usually one of Karachi’s warmer months after May and June, with daytime highs around 37°C and nighttime temperatures between 23°C and 25°C.
