300 homes of Afghan settlement demolished in Karachi operation

The large-scale operation to clear the Afghan settlement in Karachi entered its second day on Thursday, as per the report.

According to the report, over 300 houses were demolished on the first day of the drive. Law enforcement agencies have been deployed to maintain order as the situation remains tense.

Vacant and damaged houses are being torn down using heavy machinery, while personnel from the Sindh Rangers, police, Malir Development Authority (MDA), and other departments are present at the site. An anti-riot squad has also been stationed in the area.

Police officials stated that no one will be permitted to encroach upon government land.
