Petrol price jumps again, now Rs272.15 per litre

KARACHI: The government of Pakistan has raised petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices once again for the upcoming fortnight, as confirmed by the Finance Division late Tuesday.

Similarly, high-speed diesel has seen an increase of Rs11.37 per litre, pushing its new price to Rs284.35.

In a statement, the Finance Division said, “The Government has revised the prices of petroleum products for the fortnight starting tomorrow, based on the recommendation of OGRA and the relevant Ministries.”

In the previous fortnightly review, petrol was increased by Rs8.36 per litre, reaching Rs266.79, while high-speed diesel rose by Rs10.39, taking its price to Rs272.98.

Earlier, during the mid-June price adjustment, petrol went up by Rs4.80 per litre and diesel by Rs7.95 per litre.
