The route of the double decker bus running under the People’s Bus Service in Karachi has been extended, offering better travel facilities to commuters.
According to the service administration, the bus will now operate from Malir Halt to Tower. The new route has come into effect from today.
The extension is intended to serve a larger number of passengers and make commuting easier in some of the city’s busiest areas. With this change, people living in Malir Halt and nearby neighborhoods can now travel directly to Tower, the main commercial center of the city, through the double decker service.
Earlier, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon had instructed transport officials to complete arrangements for launching additional bus routes.
He also stated that the provincial government is making efforts to complete the Yellow Line BRT project as soon as possible to further improve and modernize Karachi’s public transport network.
