Gold prices saw a sharp rise on Monday in both Pakistan and the international market, according to a report.
In the global market, gold gained 26 dollars and closed at 4,325 dollars per ounce amid strong investor demand.
As per figures shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24 karat gold in Pakistan went up by Rs2,600 per tola, taking the price to Rs454,862.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs2,229 to reach Rs389,970, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold rose by Rs2,043 to Rs357,485.
The increase highlights continued interest in precious metals due to economic uncertainty and changes in currency markets.
Silver prices also moved upward, with 24 karat silver per tola rising by Rs68 to Rs6,532. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver increased by Rs59 to Rs5,600.
