The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced that the first phase of the 2026 annual intermediate examinations will begin on April 29, marking the start of this year’s exam season for thousands of students across the city.
Officials said that admit cards for private candidates of Intermediate Part I, Part II, and combined Part I and II have already been sent to students at their registered home addresses.
The admit cards have been dispatched to candidates from several academic groups, including Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Arts (Regular), Home Economics, and Arts Private.
The board has advised students who do not receive their admit cards by April 25 to collect duplicate copies. These duplicates will be available from the concerned section at the board office starting April 27.

Officials added that students applying for duplicate admit cards must bring their examination form and fee receipt, registration card or any proof of registration, along with a copy of their matriculation marks sheet for verification.
In a related update, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi had earlier revised the timetable for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, which began on April 10.
The SSC exams were originally scheduled to take place from April 7 to May 2 across Karachi Division. However, the schedule was later changed after issues arose during the shift from a manual system to a digital one.
Officials explained that the online system briefly became overloaded, which caused disruptions before the IT team fixed the problem and introduced the updated examination timetable.
