Four TTP terrorists involved in Islamabad suicide blast arrested

Security agencies in Islamabad have arrested four members of a TTP/Fitnah-ul-Khawarij group linked to the suicide blast at the G-11 judicial complex.

The Intelligence Bureau and the Counter-Terrorism Department carried out the joint operation, during which the suspects were taken into custody.

During questioning, Sajidullah, known as “Sheena,” admitted he was the handler of the bomber. He revealed that TTP/Fitnah-ul-Khawarij commander Saeed-ur-Rehman, also known as “Dadaullah,” who is from Charmang in Bajaur and currently based in Afghanistan, instructed him over Telegram to stage a suicide attack in Islamabad to inflict maximum damage on security forces.

Investigators said Dadaullah sent Sajidullah photos of the bomber, Usman, called “Qari,” who is from Achin in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, and belongs to the Shinwari tribe. After entering Pakistan, Usman stayed with Sajidullah on the outskirts of the capital.

Acting on the commander’s orders, Sajidullah picked up a suicide vest from Akhun Baba cemetery in Peshawar and brought it to Islamabad. He placed the explosive jacket on Usman on the day of the attack.

According to sources, the TTP/Fitnah-ul-Khawarij leadership in Afghanistan supervised the entire operation. Authorities said the full cell involved in the incident, including the operational head and three accomplices, has been rounded up.

Further investigations are ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
