IESCO announces temporary load shedding schedule for consumers

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has introduced temporary changes to electricity supply as the ongoing international petroleum crisis continues to affect power generation, leading to controlled outages in areas under its jurisdiction.

Officials from the company said that the sharp rise in global petroleum prices, along with disruptions in supply chains, has increased pressure on electricity production. Because of this situation, IESCO has started scheduled load management in both urban and rural areas.

The spokesperson added that electricity outages are being carried out for the same duration across all affected locations to manage the shortage fairly.
