Urea prices expected to increase again in Pakistan

Urea prices in Pakistan are expected to rise further as major fertilizer companies prepare for another increase, adding more pressure on the agriculture sector.

According to JS Global’s CFA Waqas Ghani, Fauji Fertilizer Company and Engro Fertilizers are likely to increase urea prices by Rs75 to Rs100 per bag. At present, FFC is selling urea at Rs4,286 per bag, while Engro’s price stands at Rs4,436 per bag.

The expected hike comes after a recent increase by Engro, which had already raised urea prices by Rs150 per bag. Reports suggest this adjustment pushed the retail rate to around Rs4,435 per bag, effective from April 4, 2026.

If the new increase is implemented, FFC’s urea price may move between Rs4,361 and Rs4,386 per bag. Engro’s price could rise to nearly Rs4,511 to Rs4,536 per bag, further increasing costs for farmers.
