Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp rise on Thursday, following gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs8,300, reaching Rs443,062. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold went up by Rs7,116 to Rs379,854, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, gold prices had fallen by Rs1,000 per tola, closing at Rs434,762.
In the international market, gold also recorded strong gains, with APGJSA reporting the rate at $4,207 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting an $83 increase. Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market rose by Rs228 per tola, reaching Rs5,662.
