The District Education Authority (DEA) Jhelum has announced that all public and private schools in the district will remain closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, due to the current law and order situation.
In a notification issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the DEA, the decision was made on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner as a safety measure to protect students, teachers, and staff.
School heads have been directed to promptly inform students, parents, and staff about the closure and to ensure proper security arrangements are in place to protect school property during the suspension of activities.
The authority has also advised school heads to stay in touch with field officers for any further directions. Regular classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, October 14, unless new orders are issued.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has clarified that schools and colleges in the rest of the province will remain open on October 13.
