The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has declared Thursday, August 14, 2025, a public holiday to mark the country’s Independence Day.
In a notice, the exchange said it will remain closed for all Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders, employees, and other stakeholders.
Earlier on Monday, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had also announced that it will remain closed on August 14 for the same occasion.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025, being a public holiday on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’ as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the statement said.
