NEW DELHI: In a tragic and unsettling incident, Indian tennis player Radhika Yadav was reportedly shot and killed by her father following a heated argument over her active presence on social media.
According to international media, the 25-year-old athlete had proudly represented India in numerous national and international tennis tournaments and was seen as one of the sport’s rising stars.
The incident took place at their home, where only Radhika and her father were present. Police reports indicate that he allegedly fired multiple shots at her.
Though she was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition, she could not survive her injuries.
