Heat to intensify in Karachi over next three days: PMD forecast

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its latest forecast for Karachi, covering weather conditions from April 11 to 13.

According to the forecast, the city will continue to experience hot and dry weather over the next three days, with temperatures gradually increasing.

Saturday is expected to be hotter, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35°C and 37°C across the city. Overnight lows will remain around 22°C to 24°C, offering limited relief. Morning humidity levels are expected between 70 to 80 per cent, dropping to 30 to 40 per cent by evening.

Karachi Weather on Sunday, April 12, 2026

Sunday will continue with hot, dry conditions, with daytime highs of 36°C to 38°C. Minimum temperatures will slightly rise to 23°C to 25°C. Humidity is expected to fall further in the evening, reaching around 20 to 30 per cent, making conditions very dry after sunset.

Monday is forecast to be extremely hot, with temperatures reaching up to 39°C. The RealFeel Shade temperature is expected around 37°C, showing intense heat even in shaded areas. Light breezes in the afternoon may provide only slight relief from the heat.

Authorities have warned of increased risks of dehydration and heatstroke during prolonged outdoor exposure. The combination of high temperatures and low humidity may lead to faster fluid loss, posing health risks, especially for vulnerable groups.
