Authorities will hold a Ramzan Bachat Festival at Jilani Park from February 13 to 15 to support citizens by offering essential food items at lower prices before Ramadan.
A coordination meeting led by DG Food Authority Asim Javed was held with relevant departments and stakeholders to review preparations and ensure the event runs smoothly.
According to officials, special relief stalls will provide flour, ghee, pulses, sugar, rice, fruits, vegetables and other daily-use items at discounted rates to help people manage their household expenses ahead of Ramadan.
DG Food Authority Asim Javed stated that strict monitoring will be carried out to maintain food safety and quality throughout the festival. Authorities will also keep a close watch on supply and pricing at all stalls.
Along with shopping facilities, the festival will highlight local culture and traditions and provide families with an opportunity to enjoy entertainment while purchasing items at reduced prices.
Officials added that providing relief to the public before Ramadan is a key government focus, and special price reductions are being planned for various essential items.
