NAB distributes Rs462 million to victims of property frauds

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) distributed 1,619 pay orders worth nearly Rs. 462 million among victims of housing and investment scams during a ceremony held at NAB Lahore.

The event was chaired by NAB Chairman Lt. Gen. Nazir Ahmed Butt (Retd.), who supervised the distribution process. The recoveries were made in several cases, including Omega Residencia, Eden Housing, Abuzar Housing Scheme, Formanites Housing Scheme and Model Business Trade Centre.

In the Omega Residencia case, NAB distributed more than Rs. 145 million among 500 affectees through 1,308 pay orders during the first phase of payments.

For the Eden Housing case, Rs39.74 million was paid to victims through 150 pay orders. NAB Lahore stated that it had already transferred around Rs685.36 million to 5,571 claimants through online banking. With the latest payments, total recoveries distributed in the Eden Housing case have reached approximately Rs1.4 billion among 11,076 affectees.

In the Suzuki Sialkot Motors case, Rs186.19 million was handed over to victims through 136 pay orders. Affectees of the Abuzar Housing Scheme received Rs67.5 million.

NAB also transferred Rs2.2 million recovered in the State vs. Abrar Hussain Jaffery case to the District Superintendent Postal Service in Mianwali.
