LPG prices fall Rs20 per kg across Pakistan

Good news has come for consumers struggling with high LPG prices, as the per-kilogram rate of LPG has dropped by Rs20 across the country.

Ali Haider, convener of the FPCCI LPG Standing Committee, said that following the recent ceasefire and the Eid and Nowruz holidays in Iran, LPG supplies have increased significantly.

According to Haider, 7,000 tons of LPG reached Karachi after border crossings reopened, and the improved supply immediately led to a Rs 20 reduction in prices. He added that further price cuts of up to Rs50 are expected as market supplies stabilize.

Haider also noted that while OGRA had fixed the official LPG price at Rs304 per kilogram, some profiteers had pushed prices up to Rs440–450. Pakistan depends on imported LPG for 65 percent of its consumption, with 90 percent of imports coming from Iran.
