Board exams postponed at three Islamabad centres on April 9, 10

ISLAMABAD: Examinations scheduled for April 9 and 10 at three centres in Islamabad have been postponed following official instructions issued due to ongoing diplomatic activities in the federal capital, according to a notification.

As per a notice released by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), “In view of ongoing diplomatic activities in Islamabad, the examinations scheduled on April 9 and 10 at the following examination centres are hereby postponed.”

The centres affected by this decision include Islamabad Model School for Boys (VI-X), G-6/4, Islamabad (Centre A – 1296), Islamabad Model School for Boys (VI-X), G-6/4, Islamabad (Centre B – 9133), and Islamabad Model School for Girls (I-X), Prime Minister’s Staff Colony, G-5, Islamabad (Centre Code – 1375).

The notification also stated, “The revised dates for these examinations will be announced in due course”.

Earlier, the Islamabad administration had declared a two-day public holiday ahead of expected talks between the United States and Iran in the federal capital.

According to a notice issued by the Office of the District Magistrate, Thursday and Friday have been announced as local holidays within the revenue limits of Islamabad Capital Territory.

However, essential services such as hospitals will continue to operate. Residents were advised to plan their routines and activities accordingly.
