CNG stations shut across Sindh and Balochistan

The gas shortage has intensified during Ramadan as all CNG stations across Sindh and Balochistan have been shut down for an indefinite period.

According to SSGC, gas supply has been redirected from the CNG sector to ensure uninterrupted availability for domestic consumers. The company said households and commercial users will receive gas mainly during Sehri and Iftar hours.

In Karachi, gas supply will remain suspended from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM as part of the distribution schedule.

Meanwhile, the All Pakistan Petroleum and CNG Association has strongly criticised the decision. The association said the recent Rs. 55 increase in petrol and diesel prices has already placed a heavy burden on the public, and shutting down alternative fuel options has further added to people’s difficulties.
