Karachi weather today: Light rain and cloudy skies predicted

Karachi’s weather is beginning to shift as the winter chill fades, with the Meteorological Department predicting warmer days and the possibility of light drizzle in parts of the city.

According to the latest weather update, the temperature in Karachi is currently 16 degrees Celsius. Humidity has been recorded at 64 percent, which could lead to cloud formation during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to rise to around 31 degrees Celsius, indicating a gradual move toward warmer weather.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in Karachi, along with chances of light drizzle in some areas. Officials stated that higher humidity levels may support cloud development, particularly during the morning and evening hours.

Residents have already started to notice the seasonal change, with mornings remaining slightly cool while afternoons are becoming warmer. This shift is common during February as the city transitions from winter to spring.

Meanwhile, a fresh westerly wind system is expected to affect the upper regions of the country from today. This system may bring rainfall and snowfall to several areas. Authorities have cautioned that rain and snowfall could lead to slippery roads and possible road closures in mountainous regions.

The National Disaster Management Authority has also issued an alert to concerned departments, asking them to stay prepared for any emergency. Over the next three days, rain and snowfall are expected in parts of Balochistan, particularly in mountainous districts.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir are also likely to receive rain and snowfall. In Punjab, rainfall and hailstorms are expected in southern districts, while snowfall may occur in hilly areas including Murree and Galiyat.
