Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in a post on social media, announced that Basant celebrations have been extended until 5:00 AM tomorrow after witnessing the large-scale festivities, happiness, and sense of unity in Lahore as well as other parts of Punjab and the country after a gap of 25 years.
She said the extension has been granted as an appreciation for the people of Lahore, who celebrated the festival in an organised manner while carefully following the safety guidelines.
Maryam Nawaz also advised citizens to continue enjoying the festival responsibly, stay away from electric wires, ensure rooftops are safe, and strictly follow all safety instructions so the historic Basant remains enjoyable and secure for everyone.
