MG Pakistan has confirmed that it’s extending its special “Advantage Price” offer on the MG HS PHEV until July 31, 2025, giving buyers an extra month of price relief amid the ongoing rise in car costs.
Originally introduced at a promotional price of Rs9,499,000 for early buyers until March, the offer was later adjusted to Rs9,699,000 and made valid through June 2025. Now, that same discounted price will continue for July as well.
According to company officials, the recent budget did not include the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) Adoption Levy on plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) like the MG HS PHEV. This exemption has allowed MG to extend the offer and provide some financial breathing room to its customers.
MG also highlighted that this move aligns with the government’s push for eco-friendly transport options. They shared that the continued strong demand and the exemption from the levy were key reasons behind their decision to keep the price steady for another month.
However, starting August 1, 2025, the price will rise to Rs9,899,000.
What is the NEV Adoption Levy?
The NEV Adoption Levy was introduced in the 2025-26 federal budget to promote cleaner vehicles, such as EVs and PHEVs. It ranges between 1% and 3% and is applied to traditional petrol and diesel vehicles. The goal is to make greener alternatives more attractive to both carmakers and buyers.
