The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced on Friday that electricity supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas due to maintenance and development work on the power system.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, on 7 February 2026, power will remain suspended in parts of the Islamabad Circle from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm, including Punjab House, Khayaban-e-Iqbal, F-6/2, Bari Imam, Said Pur and Pir Sohawa feeders.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity will remain unavailable from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm in areas connected to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Tehmasamabad, Dhoke Hukam Dad, Committee Chowk, Zafar-Ul-Haq and Arya Mohallah feeders.
Similarly, in the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, power supply will be suspended from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm on the Dhoke Farman Ali, RIC, and Tipu Road feeders, while the Kahuta City-1 and Lehtrar-1 feeders will face outages from 07:00 am to 06:00 pm.
In the Attock Circle, electricity will remain suspended from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm on the Gudwal-I, Gudwal-II, and Garhi Afghan feeders. Power will also remain unavailable from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm in areas linked to Taznaza Dam, Laniwala, City-II, Sajjad Shaheed, Nescom and Saray Kharboza feeders.
Meanwhile, in the Chakwal Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm in Main Bazar, Mureed, Al-Qaim Mills, Jamalwala and Mengan feeders. In the GSO Circle, the 132KV Grid Station Bhagwal will remain closed from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm.
City and Datot feeders will remain shut from 11:00 am to 03:00 pm, while FECHS (E-11/2), D-12/2, D-12/1, Services, Shah Allah Ditta, Northern Strip E-11, Northern Strip-2 feeders and nearby areas will face power suspension from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm.
IESCO management expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers. The company added that electricity may be restored earlier if the maintenance work is completed before the scheduled time.
