Train operations in Balochistan have been halted again, disrupting passengers travelling between the province and other parts of the country.
Pakistan Railways called off the Jaffar Express heading to Peshawar and the Chaman Passenger train on Tuesday, mentioning unavoidable reasons for the suspension.
According to railway authorities, the Jaffar Express arriving from Peshawar will return from Jacobabad instead of completing its route. Officials have not provided any specific date for when services will resume.
This marks the second time in recent days that train services in Balochistan have been stopped, including routes linking Quetta with other inland cities and Chaman.
Railway officials had earlier stated that these repeated shutdowns have resulted in losses of more than Rs30 million for Pakistan Railways.
Passengers are still dealing with uncertainty as the suspension of train services in Balochistan continues without a clear resolution.
