Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has delivered a firm message to schoolteachers following the announcement of this year’s matriculation exam results.
In a post shared on Facebook, the minister said that teachers who consistently produce strong student outcomes will be acknowledged and rewarded.
On the other hand, he cautioned those with repeated poor performance, especially where students keep failing, to “start worrying.”
His remarks came shortly after all education boards in Punjab released the results of the first annual matric exams for 2025.
As per figures shared by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore, 65.32 percent of students passed the exams. Out of a total of 254,012 candidates, 165,912 managed to clear the papers successfully.
