Unidentified assailants on a motorcycle shot and killed prominent religious scholar and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Maulana Abdus Salam in Charsadda on Tuesday, according to the report.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Mandani Police Station.
Police teams reached the scene soon after the attack, collected evidence, and later moved the body to a hospital for postmortem examination.
