Schools and colleges in Islamabad returned to their regular schedules on Monday after the winter timing arrangement officially ended.
Educational institutions across the Islamabad Capital Territory resumed normal morning opening and closing hours, which had been temporarily adjusted during the colder months.
The revised schedule was introduced in early December and remained in effect until January 31, 2026, to ease early morning routines for students during harsh winter conditions.
According to officials, the decision to restore standard timings was made as weather conditions improved and daylight hours increased, allowing educational activities to continue without difficulty. Schools and colleges had already notified parents and students about the change through online and digital platforms.
