The Sindh government has approved the creation of 8,049 new posts in the School Education and Literacy Department for the 2026 academic year as part of ongoing administrative reforms.
A formal approval letter has been issued to the Section Officer Secondary One of the department, confirming the sanctioned positions across different grades.
The approved posts include senior management and school leadership roles. These comprise 44 positions of Chief Head Master or Head Mistress in BS 20, 593 posts of Senior Head Master or Head Mistress in BS 19, 1,444 posts of Head Master or Head Mistress in BS 18, and 5,968 positions of Head Master or Head Mistress in BS 17.
Officials said the move is part of wider reforms by the Sindh Education Department aimed at strengthening school leadership, improving administrative supervision, and enhancing academic management ahead of the 2026 academic session.
