Good news has arrived for 2.5 million matric students in Punjab, as the Higher Education Commission is reviewing a suggestion from Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat to hold the BISE Lahore matric exams after the month of Ramazan, as per the report on Monday.
According to the information shared, Eidul al-Fitr in Pakistan is expected to fall on March 19 or 20, 2026, while Ramazan is likely to begin on February 18, 2026.
More than 300,000 students will be appearing for the matric exams from Lahore alone. Teachers noted that preparing for exams during the holy month becomes difficult for students.
They appreciated the proposal to schedule the exams after the Eidul Fitr holidays.
